Technical evidence at the level your case demands

From the report that guides an internal decision to the expert report that sustains proceedings in court: four levels of delivery, with the same methodological rigour in all of them.

The VALLIM model

Four depths, one single method

The market usually offers only two options: an opinion or a full report. Here the work is delivered at four levels of depth, so you retain exactly what the case needs right now, and move up a level as it develops: today's report can support tomorrow's expert report.

Level 1

Technical Report

The starting point: it lays out the course of events objectively, without the cost of a full instrument. Ideal for a company to understand what happened before deciding on next steps.

Purpose · Understanding
Level 2

Short Technical Opinion

One step above the report: reasoned technical analysis in a lean format, intended mainly for administrative use.

Purpose · Administrative
Level 3

Administrative Opinion

A robust instrument, with greater depth of analysis and documentation. It supports company decisions: dismissals, internal inquiries, negotiations and internal measures.

Purpose · Decision-making
Level 4

Court Expert Report

The complete instrument: declared methodology, chain of custody, answers to the questions to the expert, documented limitations and verifiable reproducibility. Ready for court, arbitration or audit.

Purpose · Judicial

From loose pages to the sealed expert report: evidence that is organised from the start
When a forensic examination is essential
  • The dispute requires technical proof of facts through digital or documentary evidence
  • There has been fraud, intrusion, data leakage or system compromise
  • A court or corporate decision needs a solid technical basis to hold up
What every delivery includes
  • Declared methodology, with tools and versions on record
  • Documented chain of custody for each item of evidence
  • Explicit statement of the technical limitations of the examination
  • Plain language: the court follows it, the layperson understands it
  • ICP-Brasil digital signature and verifiable annexes
Typical activities
  • Identification and preservation of digital trace evidence
  • Analysis of electronic fraud and intrusions
  • Investigation of cloned profiles and accounts
  • Detection of data and file tampering
  • Analysis of communications and recordings
  • Examination of documents, signatures and contracts

Acting at once preserves evidence.

In digital incidents, time works against the evidence. The sooner the forensic expert steps in, the more intact the trace evidence reaches the report.
