Jornal da Band report on the use of personal data leaks by specialised criminal groups, including groups that cloned bank managers' phones to approach account holders and a R$ 14 million diversion from a company's account with the involvement of a former manager. The report shows websites that sell confidential information starting from a tax number, ID document, name or car number plate. Forensic expert Adriano Vallim explains that such data can only have a criminal origin and sets out practical protective measures, such as not linking your main mobile number and e-mail address to the bank app and distrusting calls that cite account details to gain credibility.
