The report investigates a viral video in which two women use a card reader to charge people in the street, and checks whether contactless fraud is in fact possible. On Avenida Paulista, forensic expert Vallim runs the test with the production's authorisation, approves a small charge by holding the device close to a young woman's bag without her noticing, and the amount is then refunded. He explains that the reading happens within a few centimetres and shows how to make an aluminium foil sleeve that blocks the radio frequency signal, demonstrating that the reader no longer recognises the protected card.
