Domingo Espetacular report on the return of fake profile scams on social media, which again used images of journalist Eduardo Ribeiro and went on to exploit photos of businessman Alexandre Correa and conductor João Carlos Martins as well. The report follows the case of a victim in Goiás who spotted the fraud and kept the conversation going to expose the fraudster, whose messages show signs of machine translation. With support from a specialist, the production sets up temporary profiles to draw the criminal out and concludes that he was seeking images of the victims for later blackmail, gathering information that was forwarded to lawyers for removal of the profile.
