Lecture given at a technology and law congress on digital crime, the difference between hackers and crackers, the targets of crime on the internet, the layers of the deep web and the illegal market in data, documents and cards. It analyses real cases of fraud, leaks of public databases, the use of VPNs, illicit sharing groups on messaging apps and social engineering techniques. The forensic expert leads the whole session, shows how to identify forged conversations and screenshots from timestamps and writing patterns, and returns to the historical origins of forensic science to address reproducibility and documentation of digital evidence.
