The report details the so-called golpe da mão fantasma (ghost hand scam), in which criminals pose as bank security teams, persuade the victim to install a remote access app and go on to operate the device from a distance, emptying accounts and taking out loans. Victims with losses from 13,000 to 55,000 reais describe the approach and the sense that the phone had a life of its own. The specialist demonstrates in practice how remote control mirrors on the phone everything done on another device, and stresses that financial institutions do not ask for apps to be installed over the phone.
