Live interview on the role of mobile phone forensic examination in a high-profile criminal investigation, in which analysis of seized devices revealed that the victim had been monitored for months before the crime. Adriano Vallim, digital crime forensic expert and former Cellebrite instructor for Latin America, explains how forensic extraction works, the processing times according to data volume, the recovery of deleted files and the building of the timeline and the link tree between suspects. He also stresses that extracted data is written to sealed read-only media, which prevents evidence from being inserted or removed and protects the suspect as well.
